Mmm yummy! This is the place where I started my frozen yogurt addiction :) I love this place because of their location and yummy yogurt. I either go for their fruit or cereal toppings but the yogurt always has to be original. Clean place and great service as well!

I'm trying to get into the fro-yo trend. And indeed its great and addictive. But I know I can make this stuff myself. Everything here has more of a fruity taste than Pinkberry. And the toppings are a lot better than Pinkberry, I love berries on top of berries on top of berries. Now what makes Ce Fiore on top of my fro-yo list is the use of the waffle plate. When I first saw this I thought, giant biscuit with fruit. But someone told me you can serve chicken on this giant biscuit so it serves multi purposes, it's perfect for when the apocalypse or rapture comes along. I highly recommend this place solely on the fact of the giant biscuit with yogurt and fruit.

I love love love this place.  The Acai berry flavor keeps me coming back.  Soon I my yogurt card will be full of stamps and I will take over the world.   Actually, I'll just get a free frozen yogurt....almost as good.

Hazel is the nicest!!!

Best FroYo in the city!!!
I run their VIP card at this place like the toilet paper!!!

I especially liked the fruit cup with a swirl of Acai.  The yummy toppings and the authentic yogurt.  Sometimes, I get the Raspberry Pomegranate, but I usually mixed it up with Green Tea flavor.  And in this freaking hot weekend, I have to get some of that Snow Ice goodness and hit it to-go with a cup of the real-fruit smoothie.

I am superglad that they are usually open beyond their usual business hours to accommodate late night froyo craving!

Loved the chocolate frozen yogurt.  The staff said the yogurt here is real yogurt and so it's healthier than the powdery stuff at Pinkberry.  Get the mochi topping ~ really yummy and great texture eaten with the yogurt!  Will come back if I go to the Mann Theatre again.

favorite flavor : Acai Berry, delicious
favorite fruit : blackberries and kiwis, fresh and sweet
seating : fabulous pillows on cushy comfy bench seats opposite kitschy clear chairs
crowd : not too busy midday or after dinner, pretty cool
menu : shows up and displays changes screens after a minute...flat screens, at that!

Great location, great snack, FREE SAMPLES! Nothing super extraordinary. Nice place. However, I decidedly graded them down because they don't have Caramello candy bars as a topping. Are those even a real candy bar anymore? I used to live in L.A. back when "stretch it ouuuut outtt ouuuut Car-a-melll-ooooo" was a very popular commerical. Apparently not popular enough to land a place in the *Ce fiore* lineup. Oh well, Caramello, you'll always be first-string to me.

Pardon me while I have a personal moment and frozen yogurt REVELATION!!! oh my goodness, this little shop is right across the street from my home, and it took me 3 plus months to walk my lazy ass over there. There was no sign of an atrocious line anywhere and the italian frozen yogurt is INCREDIBLE. The original flavor is nice and light, with almost a lemon zest flavor at the end, slightly creamy but not too much so. The acai berry is my new favorite, a bit creamier than the original and packed with antioxidant goodness. You have my heart Cefiore! Must try more flavors next time...

If I had written this review when I first had the frozen yogurt at Cefiore, I probably would have given it 4 stars.  But after a few months of trying different places, I have to bump it to 3 because it was just okay in comparison.

I appreciated the fact they had workers out front, luring us in to try free samples.  I tried almost all of them with a friend.  I decided I like the raz-pom flavor the best.

Topped with some fresh fruit, it made a great dessert to my recent nearby 25 Degrees burger.

Pricing is about average for a fro-yo place.

I'm an ice cream girl through and through.  Scratch that.  I looove me some gelato but on the whole I eat ice cream far more often.  Froyo?  Never.

And then I moved to LA.  Luckily my roommate is also a gigantic ice cream fan because other than her this place is obsessed with frozen yogurt.

So I had Pinkberry.  Wasn't THAT impressed.  Then my friends and I checked out Cefiore yesterday.  If I HAD to eat frozen yogurt, this would be my place of choice.

First of all, they just introduced chocolate into their lineup.  And it tasted delicious.  I'm a fat kid so I picked the non-health toppings.  Oreos, chocolate chips, and m&ms.  It was almost like being in a Friendly's.

I didn't notice that they had waffles until after I ordered.   You better believe I'm updating this review after I've had the green tea waffle.

Extra star for the guy making my dessert because when I asked for my toppings he said, "...at least the yogurt is non-fat..." in a non-condescending way.

Great service and unique yogurt flavors offered: Raspberry-Pomegranate and Acai-berry.  However, the flavor (rather insipid) and texture (rather strange-more like a blend of Italian ice +  frozen yogurt) of the yogurt ranks below Red Mango and Yogurtland. The fruit toppings at this location did not appear nor tasted fresh (2 stars). If you must try Cefiore's frozen yogurt, the texture and flavor is a tiny bit better at the Japanese Village Plaza Mall in Downtown, Los Angeles.

Parking tip: Free parking after 5pm on Hawthrone, the street south and parallel to Hollywood, behind Cefiore (btwn Orange & Highland).

Thanks to Yuki for the coupon!

The grand opening was amazing! I got to meet Summer from STAR98.7, which was really cool!

The yogurt tasks like real yogurt and is very creamy, compared to other places. The fruits were very fresh... I tried all 4 flavors and got a free small yogurt.  The lady at the counter was very friendly... I was very impressed with the service!

One of the flavors is called Acai (http://en.wikipedia.or...), it is supposed to have a lot of antioxidants and is great for your health! It's delicious by itself without any toppings!

Cefiore has capture my heart.  Definitely one of my top 3 favorite yogurt shops so far!

P.S. Thanks again for the free fro-yo!
P.S.2 The decor is cute as well!

In the past year, about a million (give or take 5) Italian/natural fro yo joints have been springing up.  Most people use Pinkberry as a point of comparison and I'm no different. Some are creamier, icier, harder, softer, some come in flavors, some offer slightly different toppings and some offer slightly different prices.  But so far, Cefiore is my fave.

At tourist-crossing USA (H&H), sampling is the only way to get someone in your shop, and Cefiore drew me in with a tray of perfectly paired flavors and toppings.  The blackberry  with chocolate chips was delish but I had to go with plain + my usual fruity toppings to properly compare to PB.  The fruit was fresh, texture and sweetness perfect, and the size was just right... I think a small is a little smaller and a little cheaper than PB's which is really all I need.

Plus, they offer a frequent fro yo card, which is something PB could definitely benefit from.  Maybe Cefiore banks on the fact that no one at H&H actually lives in LA and therefore can't cash in their frequent visitor card, but hey, more for me.

I went to the grand opening for the free froyo.  Who says no to FREE creamy goodness (are you cwazy)?  The location is right on busy Hollywood Blvd. and if it wasn't for the free froyo I would never have stopped by nor would I know what I was missing out on.

Cefiore = Gelato meets froyo

I got the swirl (green tea and acai). For the first time, unlike the Fake-Ass-Berry, the green tea actually tasted like green tea, wow that's a novel idea.  I love the flavor of green tea ice cream and now I can enjoy it in my froyo.  The taste was clean, refreshing and cleaned my palate.  I was a little nervous about the acai.  Would it be too tart?  No my friends, just tart enough!

This is the perfect decadent treat.  The froyo tastes sinful!  I got froyo on the mind now!

I went to Fiore (or cefiore now?) last night before hollywood bowl (last one of the season). It's been several months since I've been to Fiore (the one at little Tokyo) - so I wanted to give myself a chance to get reacquainted with their yogurt!

They were giving out free samples (great customer service), so i tried all 4 flavors (raspberry-pomegranate, blackberry, original, and green tea, LOL!) I couldn't decide between raspberry-pomegranate and blackberry, so I had half blackberry and half raspberry-pomegranate with combination of mango, yogurt chips, and mochi toppings (mochi is really really good here).

The raspberry-pomegranate was good, very subtle, no artificial flavor at all (or i can't really taste it). The texture is very very creamy, more like the soft serve ice cream which make it better. The blackberry is a bit sweater than others, which provide unique combination with my mango.  Too bad they don't have a location at westwood.

The yogurt at Cefiore in Hollywood is the best I've had.

I didn't think I would ever share such a sentiment. For the longest time, the vanilla with fresh peaches at Penguin's was my frozen soulmate, a creamy treat that completed me in a Jerry Maguireesque way. But no more. I've fallen in love with the blackberry yogurt with mangoes and strawberries at this particular Cefiore. It's younger, it's prettier, and it tastes better. How could I resist?

I tried, actually. Having just eaten a satisfying lunch following a disappointing movie (that's a review for a different website), I walked by this Cefiore without a thought of dessert in my mind. But that all changed when a smiling, enthusiastic Asian man with a tray full of yogurt samples offered me some delicious goodness as I passed him. Although I could barely understand his English, I heard the word "free." I accepted his generosity and took a sample. And then my life changed.

I think I tried the raspberry/pomegranate. It was plain--no fruit, no sprinkles, no nothing. But it was perfect in its simplicity. It was like a party in my mouth where everyone was invited and, believe me, I know what that's like. Hyperbole aside, I was hooked.

Like a good poker player, I think the man could read my face. He knew I wanted more. Introducing himself as Wilson, he patted me on the back and welcomed me to his store. At first, he was so friendly that I thought he might be coming onto me. But, no, this owner/manager wanted me to try more of his scrumptious product.

And with good reason. I had a hard time deciding what to get once I was inside. I was by myself, but Wilson treated me as if I had come with a dozen of my friends and family. I really appreciated the attention I got although I was a single customer. I asked about the snow ice. Although he admitted that it would probably be too much for me to eat by myself, he was nice and let me have a sample of that, too. It was so good that I almost dismissed his warning and ordered a giant cup of it. Showing some willpower, I opted for a medium blackberry yogurt (one of my favorite fruits) covered with strawberries and mangoes (two more of my favorite fruits).

I sat at a table, watching Wilson gaze with delight as I swallowed. I wish I could describe every bite, but it seems as if it only took one to finish. The yogurt was both tart and creamy, an ideal combination that was enhanced by the sweetness of the fruit. I even enjoyed my surroundings--the location is simply decorated with tables, chairs, and colorful hanging lights. It doesn't feel cluttered when several other customers are there, and it allows for some leisurely people-watching. This was easily the best part of my day.

Satisfied in every way, I thanked Wilson and promised to return. Of course, like a good friend who's an even better host, he begged me to stay, offering other tempting samples from his menu. But if I'd stayed, I would have been both broke from buying the best yogurt I've ever had and over-stuffed to the point of immobility from eating it.

And I wouldn't be here to share this experience with you. As I live in Orange County, I don't often find myself in Hollywood. But, next time I am, I'll definitely make sure to visit Wilson and his Cefiore store again. If you live closer than I do, I suggest you do the same and do it more often. Support this friendly, hard-working, somewhat gay business owner.

His frozen yogurt totally deserves it.

See you in line.

so, after reading jackie's review this morning, we decided to take a trip to Hollywood and check this place out.

They were passing out free samples (i love free samples) and we walked to the counter and asked for more free samples. I tried all 4 samples (plain, blackberry, green tea, and raspberry??). Their yogurt has a very creamy texture (much more than other  fro-yo shops), kind of like real soft-serve ice cream but with a very nice tart yogurt taste mix. I ordered a small blackberry combo with M&M, mango, and coconut (less than 5 dollars).

Good place to enjoy yogurt. Thanks Jackie!

Love this place. I'm an L.A. native and when i find myself in Hollywood, i seek out this place just for a small Pomegranate yogurt. Smooth, creamy, not too icy, and compared to the other trillion yogurt shops out now, not too f'ing expensive either. I'm not crazy about the decor, or the throng of tourists pooled on the sidewalk out front snapping pics of the Chinese Theater, bumping into you as you try to scarf your yogurt....but the place is goooood. Blackberry yogurt is pretty yummy too, but i'm telling ya, stick to the POM. Mmmm.

Last week I came down to LA to visit my friend jay.  Having not been to LA in years, we decided to have a touristy day.  We ended up in Hollywood, near Mann's Chinese Theatre, and I had forgotten how HOT LA gets in the summer!  To escape the heat we found a frozen yogurt shop.  what a treat!  it really hit the spot on such a hot day.  the yogurt was delicious... definitely the best i have had in a while!  i will try shaved ice next time!

only complaint i have is that the store itself was a bit warm... im not sure if the air conditioning was working properly.  other than that, this place is definitely worth the trip!

Is there any cefiore around SF area?

Say "arrivederci!" to Gelato Paradiso, Hollywoodians, we have yet another fro-yo place to become addicted to.

I just went to CeFiore for the first time and was greeted by Wilson (the manager/owner?) who offered us samples as we passed by. Of course we loved it (My roommate and I are Cantaloop addicts but found cefiore's original flavor to be creamier) and they also have the green tea flavor which I got and loved, along with 2 other fruit ones. The blackberry is amazing and by far my favorite.

You get 3 toppings included and the portions are a bit smaller, which is great! All you need is the small! They are not stingy here and out of all the other fro-yo places their 3 topping combo is the most affordable.

AND they have tea, AND they have icees! Everybody wins!

Have fun dodging the tourists. There will be a line out the door to this place in no time flat.

Congrats to Ce Fiore for their great service, friendly smiles, and of course yummy yogurt! Every time I come in I am greeted by all of the wonderful employees! Love you guys! Congrats to us for being the review of the day, September 25, 2007.

Well they don't have a great amount of products or seem to have a signature dish but I like this place. I was walking down  Hollywood and was handed a ticket for a free sample for this place. I tried my sample and well liked it. I can't put my finger on it but I think the yogurt taste fresh. That's one of my favorite thing in food, when they are fresh. Not sure it makes much sense but it just tasted real natural. So the next day I got a small cup of Raspberry flavored, which was just as good good.
Another thing,at first I was a little disappointed when the container I got wasn't filled up all the way (for the one I bought not the sample). But then I realized the cup was bigger than I first realized and there was plenty.

Just a note there is one in Little Tokyo too. However I probably wouldn't go since there is a ice-cream place

With the arrival of another trendy yogurt shoppe, I was not very excited per se to try Cefiore.  However, I am delighted to say it is one of the better establishments of the frozen yogurt variety.  More creamy than pinkberry and less grainy than red mango/cantaloop, it is my personal favourite.  one of the things that sets Cefiore out is the massive amounts of toppings they offer!  also they dont chince you on yogurt or toppings. very generous at this store.

tell all your friends!!  itadakimasu!!~

Don't hate me for disliking some aspects of Cefiore. I'm just being honest.

Choices: The yogurt flavors are fourfold: raspberry-pomegranate, blackberry, plain, and green tea. I was given a sample of the raspberry-pomegranate and a green tea with mochi. The former was heavenly. The latter was okay, but since I had never had that combination before, I bought a small. It was completely tasteless. I haven't been that disappointed with froyo since I tried the tomato flavor at Polar Monkey.

Value: My small with one topping cost $4.20, one of the highest prices I've seen so far for a small + topping (compare this to Mr. Snowberry's $3.95 for a small with up to 3 toppings). The portions were okay, but it didn't matter to me because it tasted like nothing.

Atmosphere: There are a few places to sit down inside, but seating is limited. Most likely you'll be here while walking around and being touristy so it's probably irrelevant. I love the intricate decorations on their yogurt cups. It's a nice attention to detail.

Synopsis: I was really disappointed after seeing so many five star reviews for Cefiore. Sure, the pomegranate-raspberry and blackberry flavors are unique, but please fix the green tea and don't overcharge for the toppings just because your location gives you loads of customers and you can get away with it. For shame Cefiore!

I'm a huge fan of the Loop, so when I heard there could be some competition down the block, I hurried my ass to get a taste (me hurrying = about 3 weeks).

True, this place is cheaper if you get 3 toppings ($5 with flavored froyo) but I usually get a discount from the Loop and no toppings, which comes out to be a better deal for me. I also can't really imagine ordering a plain yogurt without toppings at Cefiore because it's pretty bland and the creamy texture melts within 2 seconds, whereas the Loop tastes better and is much more refreshing.

So once again, Cantaloop has secured its special place in my heart. That is, until I find something better. Yes, I'm such a whore.

I like frozen yogurt but I guess I like more of the traditional kind, the one that doesn't taste like yogurt that was frozen and then blended to be creamy.  It was much too tart for me.  They were giving samples of the acai and I must say, the first taste I had, it made me gag a bit, but I decided to take another taste and goshy that thing was ADDICTING!!!  That makes me wonder what they actually put in it o.O;;

The frozen yogurt was much too dairy-like for my tastes =T  But even with that, this place would've gotten 4 stars from me IF I hadn't seen that girl dump my cup onto a scale to make sure she didn't give me too much...for those prices...I really don't think you should've cared...not to mention, they were doing a promotion that day.  Don't be so freakin' stingy if you want a following!!!  *pffffbbbbt*  You'll find me at Cantaloop thank you very much *nods*

I was looking for gelato but found Ce Fiore instead. I thought Ce Fiore would be like Pinkberry. I love Pinkberry and has only gone to Pinkberry for Frozen Yogurt.

It was very hot that day so I cheated. I got a medicum Ce Fiore to cool away the heat. I felt very guilty for cheating on Pinkberry and I regreted my unfaithfulness the very minute I tasted Ce Fiore.

Ce Fiore yogurt is nowhere near as good as Pinkberry's. Ce Fiore yogurt tasted kind of chalky and too sweet; it didn't cool me down like I've hoped. So in addition to feeling guilty, I walked out of Ce Fiore full of regrets and a raging craving for pinkberry.

Eh.  If you're more into the Penguin and Golden Spoon varieties of frozen yogurt than you are into Pinkberry this might be a good compromise for you.  Personally the yogurt here is not for me- too sweet and too creamy, but I really want to say gross.  It's cool that they offer unique flavors but I thought every one I sampled was kind of disgusting and didn't quite work.  If you're going to go sour, go all the way, if not, stay on the 'other side'... don't try to go half way!  Yuck.

I never really embraced the whole Pinkberry/frozen yogurt craze so when my mom wanted to stop by Ce Fiore last night, I said meh? why not? She had never been to one of these yogurt places so I had to kindly explain to her that this was not ice cream and no she could not get chocolate ice cream with hot fudge here.

Once we cleared up that misunderstanding, the nice girl behind the counter gave us samples of all of their flavors. We decided to share the raspberry/pomegranate no toppings while sitting indoors enjoying our frozen treat and watching the crazies on Hollywood Blvd in the heated warmth of the gelato shop next to a pink plastic holiday tree (with pink presents underneath).

As for the yogurt, we both thought that it was pretty tasty. It definitely had a creamier consistency than Pinkberry's. Overall, it's not really my thing but if you like frozen yogurt I would recommend checking this place out.

After schlepping my way from the corner of Hollywood and Highland, I was schvitzing like crazy.  (how did this kamaaina start using all these Yiddish words?)  I knew there was a gelato place somewhere close but then I saw a frozen yogurt shop in its place.  The employee explained to me that they were open for about a month.    WHA?!  Another fro-yo shop just a few blocks away from Cantaloop?

Anyway, I tasted a sample of their blackberry and hot dang-it I was soon ripping out the bills to order a medium size.  Yummy!  Though from what I can see, Cantaloop has more flavors.  And I've yet to try any smoothie from either establishment.
I can't give you any $ tips about parking in this area, other than there are lots around the corner (or park at Hollywood and Highland) and if you're lucky, street parking.  But if you're in the vicinity to go to the movies this ain't a bad option to help you cool down.

Oh by the way -- I saw a sign in the window of a shop next to that new restaurant that's being built (Katsu ya) near Hollywood and Vine.  (Part of the Broadway Hollywood Lofts building complex.)  What did the sign say?  Pinkberry coming soon!   OY -- are they trying to take over LA?  No no -- there's gonna be fro-yo oversaturation!

so i was up in hollywood for their grand opening and was totally surprised to find that their blackberry yogurt was gone. i mean i never really cared much for blackberry anyways since my favorite was raspberry-pomogranate. and i have to say, the new flavor - acai - is sooooooo much better!! omg it's just so so so good. it has a very distinct and rich taste to it. also very smooth and creamy.

service was pretty fast and polite also.  decor was very cute (i love balloons) and trendy.  the only gripe i would have about this place might be the parking situation. unless you can find street parking.

I went by Cefiore for the grand opening a couple months ago, and I have to say it's a lot better than several other yogurt places I've been to.  With so many businesses trying to jump on the fro-yo wagon (pinkberry, snowberry, red mango, arctic monkey, etc.), Cefiore is a refreshing change of pace.

Manager is also a great guy

love this place. totally thought it was going to be over-rated and all the hype was a bunch of blah blah, but if you really are food-conscious and trying to stay on the healthier side, and like yogurt, you'll love it. im not a big fan of ice cream, so this was a great in-between. it's close to LA fitness, so i can go after a good workout

it has a sour taste to it but w/the right fruits on top..fresh mango, fresh strawberry, fresh blue berrys, fresh bananaas..you name it...its great. two thumbs up.

apparently, they are going to remodel this place next week, can't  wait til the new design

best acai frozen yogurt i've tasted. (=

i came by on their opening day, friday, 11/9. there were workers in pink and white handing out small samples like an hors d'oeuvre plate. the atmosphere was upbeat. the design and interior colors were soothing. and, finally, the flavors; they were great. i tried green tea (good!) when the worker came near, but stuck with the acai's creamy richness without accompaniment.

it felt, well, ... good to just soak up the sun reading with my yogurt.

there were other options on the menu: shaved ice, smoothies, and other things besides frozen yogurt, but since it was the grand opening, most people stuck to the best that ce fiore has.

there was one customer (repeat, from the greeting he got from the staff) who made a very specific yogurt-blended-smoothie order and got it without fuss. just a bit more ice ice, fewer berries, mix until....now. top with a little bit of yogurt. it was nice seeing this happen in the crowd of bodies at the store. very accommodating.

Checked this out because I usually like to try out new food fads. Tried the Pinkberry and Red Mango (plus all the derivatives ex Snowberry, etc.), so I was a bit hesitant on yet another frozen yogurt place.

But after sampling the flavors, this place really does bring something new. There is plain/original, green tea, blueberry, and raspberry-pomegranate. Let me advise you, raspberry-pomegranate is where the action is!!! That is a heavenly treat and that's not just the antioxidants talking. My two other friends who went with me agreed that it was something special.

I ended up ordering the Shaved Ice, which is a pretty good deal, because I feel that you get the equivalent of a medium serving on shaved ice plus 5(!) toppings for $6.

I actually didn't really eat lunch that day and afterwards I was quite content. It was actually filling. But with it being such a hot day I also grabbed a smoothie to go since I saw lots of other people getting it. Pretty tasty as well.

Check it out!
