The area here seems sketchy! especially at night!
The peanut butter, cookies & cream, and vanilla yogurt with butterfinger bits is pretty good! Too bad they ran out of some other flavors. Prices are really cheap unless you decide to go all out and pack the yogurt cup to the top like a fatty. Another complaint that I have is that this place is dirty...from the floors to the yogurt pumps. Employees here just don't know how to maintain cleanliness (-2 stars)!
I hope the other locations are way better than this one.

BAM!
How do I remember all this?
Ain't yo' concern.

Toppings - you can go buck...go enji.

Location - next to Panda Express.
Parking lot in the back.

They close at 10pm, except on Fri & Sat 11pm.

They took a good concept and made it better. Its best for control freaks out there because you can put in as little or as much yogurt and toppings as you want. i take everyone here and no one is ever dissapointed. In fact, its addicting for some and they are always asking to come back. My coworker is also opening a yogurtland franchise starting up soon in Anaheim Hills so look out for that one. Oh you have to try Taro flavor. So good!

I live in the SF Bay Area and all I can say is that I hope we get a yogurtland very soon.  We've gone there three times in the past 4 days because it's so good and because you can create it however you want it.  Last night I did peach yogurt with a few vanilla chips and then fresh mango pieces on top.  They have a generous variety of fresh fruit toppings including blue berries, black berries, raspberries and strawberries.  They also have kiwi, mango, banana, and melon.  And since it's all self serve and then priced by the ounce, you can make it however you like it.  Our creations have come to about $3 - $3.5 each and that's with my daughters piling them high.

I loooooove Yogurtland.  Love love love love.  I love it so much that when I walk inside my feet turn into tiny cartoon wings that flap, my pupils dilate and change into pink hearts, and romantic music plays.  yoooooogurtland.

a brief list of ways in which Yogurtland is better than Pinkberry:

1. way cheaper.

2. you can put on your own toppings, of which there are about a million.

3. more flavors of yogurt.

4. no long lines.

5. no ridiculously overpriced household items lining the walls.

6. not Pinkberry.

Woo this place is so good...better than fullerton and irvine from my experience. The fro yo's consistency is less icy and melts slower, no mushy mess before you reach the bottom. At 30 cents per ounce, you can really let yourself go, and get all you want! The flavors are soooo goooood.....a day at yogurtland is a perfect day!!But this yogurtland is better, especially because there's no super long lines. At times this place can be empty too..which surprises cause its super duper awesome, maybe cause its in a random place next to some random stores..

fricken love this place.  I used to think pinkberry was good, but damnn this place blows it away.  The variety, price... yea, 30 cents and ounce is good for me~
the amount that they give you at pinkberry's is what, like 5 bucks? and that same amount at yogurtland is only like 2 dollars, plus you get to choose how much of each topping you want

if you really want your money's worth, go here, not pinkberry~

i always wonder if they even make enough money from only charging 30 cents and ounce... wait.... u think the owners gonna read this? well... cuz... blueberries and raspberries are probably more pricey then their weight? well... i guess los angelinos wouldn't be ghetto like me and go for a lotta blueberrys over anything else cuz its cheap.... man... i AM my mothers child.... ANYWAY.... i can't wait for yogurtland to kick pinkberry ASS in the yogurt olympics!!!! i just go for plain yogurt with a SHIT LOAD of blueberries and captn crunch (although it cuts the roof of my mouth) and fruity pebbles.... and BAM only 2 bux and some change.... WOOWOOO!!!!!

although i do blame them in my recent gain of a few lbs... stupid yummy yogurt.... with deceiving calories....

CHEAP! so cheap. and so good.

Get the cheesecake bites on top - it will take your yogurt to an entirely new level. I personally recommend the taro flavor. The best point of Yogurtland is that it's literally right up the street. Yogurtland doesn't have the great plain tart flavors that both Pinkberry and Red Mango have, but everything else is still just as good. And did I mention it's cheap?

YES!  Sour frozen yogurt by the pound?  This is the greatest conception since clothing by the pound (although that title might eventually be usurped by airline ticketing by the pound as gas prices increase).  The quality might be a few shades below Pinkberry, but it costs half as much, and there are more than three flavors.  Pistachio/mango twist?  Oh man.  The only thing I didn't like was the green tea yogurt, which tasted like bubblegum.  Luckily I had SIX OTHER FLAVORS to work on after I finished that.

Just in case you didn't dispense frozen yogurt very often as a kid, sometimes it's not explicitly labeled that the middle levers are for twisting flavors.

Its like they looked at pinkberry and thought.. "what else can we do to make this place better" and they did it.

self serve!
shaved ice!
condesed milk, chocolate sauce, caramel, mochi balls, cheesecake bites, chocolate chip cookie dough!!!!!!!!!!!!!

they have free water and put fresh fruit in it.

lastly, this place is cheap. whenever i think ive put too much in my cup it only adds up to about 3 bucks!!

unlike every other person reviewing yogurtland, i've never been to pinkberry.  i just moved here from san francisco, and while the tart yogurt craze is running strong there, it has yet to prove strong enough for your trendy lil chain to sprout up.  so i went to yogurtland based only on reviews and the fact that i like to avoid monster chains when possible.
and... eh.  the taro flavor was definitely good, but all the tart flavors were nonfat, and had that weird watery quality nonfat things often do.  the strawberry flavor, as mentioned by someone else, was very fake tasting.  also, the fresh mango neither felt nor tasted terribly fresh, and while i went partially b/c "cheesecake bites" sounded awesome, they were totally yucky-- little balls of crunchy sugar with nothing resembling dairy contained therein.  overall, yogurtland made me kinda wanna try pinkberry.

In the words of the wise Ms. Turner, "Simply the best, better than all the rest." When it comes to you, Yogurtland, I have to agree. You, Yogurtland have more flavors than that other place, you offer sample cups (no matter that I have come in numerous times already and have sampled all the flavors), you allow to pay by the ounce,  you have a bigger selection of toppings, and sometimes you actually change and introduce a new flavor.
NOW, I do have one request of you, Yougurtland on Sunset: wipe your floors, especially after a horde of people comes in, the floor gets sticky. Nothing ruins a cup of your scrumptious, frozen yogurt when my feet are immobilized by your sticky floors.
Let's re-evaluate this relationship in a month. I know you can change for the better.

I love this place! It's awesome. I personally like the plain tart with strawberry tart and cookies and cream with fruit!
The first time I went there and got plain tart with cookies and cream and strawberry tart with a lot of fruit and cap n crunch! Sounds like a weird mix ha. Well no, it's actually really, really good! The other things I like is that you can serve it yourself, you can put on a lot of toppings and it's thirty cents an ounce! Try it now, or you'll regret it!

Better than YogurtWorld (SD), creamier than Yogurtland (OC), looks cleaner than Heaven's Delight (OC), slightly more inviting than Snowberry (LA), and you get a lot more out of this place than CeFiore (multiple locations).

YAY for a new yogurt place, cuz we really needed that!

I did like the creaminess of the yogurts and the clear cups that made things look cleaner. The topping choices were a lot better than some other self serve places. I usually get the sweet stuff because fruits in yogurt feel too breakfasty for me. This time I went all sweet again, I got the chocolate flavor, strawberry, vanilla (going for the neopolitan feel) and then i saw that they had a cheesecake flavor, so i added that on top. They also had cheesecake bits and graham crackers as toppings. To that I added chocolate and condensed milk. I know, that's like some serious sugar overload, but it was not overwhelming which surprised me. I got all that under $4. That's what made this place good for me.

I don't like tart yogurt too much, so I didn't try it...sorry dudes, can't compare this place with Pinkberry (multiple locations), Iceberry (Ktown), Rosegreen (Glendale), or Dolce Mango (Glendale)  too much without having tried the tart plain.

Seriously though, I love it. 30 cents an ounce? Man, what a deal! And they have all the delicious toppings such as mochi, fresh mango (i saw the guy in the back cutting them), strawberries and kiwi. Mmmm... So good.

it was one of those nights where i was itch'n for some Pinkberry... but i was no where near one. then i saw the bright light of Yogurtland while driving on the sunset ave... when then hell did that pop up?!

lets just be honest, the decor was so cutesy-lame. but pure and clean looking enough for my eyes to land on the self serve yogurt dispensers! YES! so many to choose from. and since there wasnt a line (psha, Pinkberry!) i took my sweet ass time picking flavors.
.
- Plain tart: not as tart as Pinkberrys, but still pretty damn good.
- Strawberry tart: if you LOVE fake strawberry flavor, then this ones for you. me, not so much.
- Taro: hey, are you Filipino? cause this totally kicks any other taro-flavored anything youve had before.
- New York Cheesecake: whats to say? i love cheesecake. (drool)
- Kahlua: WOW. best coffee flavor ive ever had in my life that didnt taste like someone just ground coffee beans in it.

aside from all those delicious flavors , they have soooo many more... about 15 more (that i think they rotate thru). some of their flavors are hit-or-miss, so try them out before you commit to filling your container with it. theres also 50 billion different kinds of toppings; like flavored syrups, fruit, cookies/candies/nuts and such. there were so many to choose from that i accidentally picked the one i didnt want--haha--i freaked out and just chose something!

and the best part? you can load up your one-size cup (or grab that large pink cup to take home) with all the different flavors and all the different toppings and only pay $0.30/oz. WTF, right?! amazing. so simple. so easy. i got 2 containers for me and the bf for about $8.50. love it!

by the way, they have a parking lot.... which is unheard of in LA. so please take advantage of that.

Dear Mr. Yogurt Land Corporate,

Why on earth did you pick such a random and ghetto area to have Yogurt land debut in LA? I felt like I was going to get jumped at this location, but nevertheless the yogurt delivered and my paranoia of ghettoness escaped me right away.

I thank you for finally opening up locations in LA rather than having me drive 1 hour to Irvine and wait 45 minutes in line for the same yogurt amongst 300 UC Irvine kids.

One suggestion- can you have 50% tart flavors? Here are my suggestions free of charge-

Tart Asian Pear, Tart Pomegranate, Tart White Peach, Tart Blood Orange.

Hope to see your other locations soon and I hope you kick Pinkberry in the ass because Pinkberry is so 2007 and the business model there annoys me.

Best Regards,
Me

it is AMAZINGLY cheaper compared to Pinkberry!! We went crazy, putting 4 flavors in the medium sized cup (plain tart yogurt, mango, cheesecake and pistachio) with 3 toppings (fruity pebbles, strawberries and blueberries) and it was only 4.25 for the whole thing.

I love the self serve concept and you can also create your own shaved ice desserts.

the flavors were endless although i had some misses among the hits (i didn't care for banana nor green tea) and having a few sample cups to experiment with really helped a lot (i joked saying "we could just stay here and sample every flavor and get full from it!") my favorite is always the plain tarty yogurt...wish we had this in the bay area!

I am such a huge fan of Yogurtland since it first opened its doors in Fullerton and have been following it since as it has been expanding to Irvine and Hollywood.  Many more locations to come and I can't wait to get one within 5 miles of where I live.

What makes Yogurtland unique compared to all the others (Pinkberry, Red Mango, Ce Fiore, Cantaloop, Yoku Yoku) is exactly what I love about it: it's self-serve.  At 30 cents an ounce, you can choose exactly how much you want of one type and move onto the next if your taste buds crave for another flavor.  They've got about 10 different flavors ranging from chocolate mint, original tart, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, mango, and I can't remember the rest.

Not only is the yogurt self-serve, but the toppings as well.  Goodness gracious, I can pile up the mochi to the top and choose whether the mangoes look sweet enough.  Honestly, can it get any better?  Only if it were in my apartment!

My favorite yogurt place!! They charge by the ounce, you serve it yourself, and add all the toppings you want! they have at least 10 flavors to choose from any given day and offer a variety of them. They have tart and sweet flavors. The Ghiradelli Chocolate flavor is incredible! My favorite is the plain tart and Blueberry tart w/coconut shavings and fresh strawberries. MmM. they rock! Parking is a pain but worth it. I go there a lot. I wish they had a stamp card.

taste wise i still like pinkberry
but if you want to use more out of your money, yogurtland is the best
i went here with my sister because she kept on raving about this place
i was astonished by the number of flavors they had
i was shocked by the number of toppings they had
of course me being greedy i got the sample cups and tasted every single flavor. not that i would do it but you can get full with the sample cups by refilling it. haha
anyways i couldn't decide which flavors i liked the most so hell with it i put huge amount of five or six flavors in my cup. yup it fits
it was a huge mountain though.. and the toppings
i had to majorly squeeze the toppings onto my icecream.
cried when i saw few of my toppings tumbling out of my cup.
with 5 toppings and approx. six full flavors of icecream in my cup the price came out 5~6 dollars.

with the price and amount of yogurtland i know that i would have to pay about 10 or more dollars for the toppings and icecream in pinkberry.

oh yeah the parking lot is really small and it sucks so i recommend you to park at the OSH parking lot. right next to the yogurtland plaza
make sure you hide away from the security guard looking guy at OSH so you don't get caught and forced to move your car.

Still not the greatest froyo but still waaaaay better than the infamous PB. I loaded up a cup of pistachio (nice), Kahlua (nice), banana (yuck), vanilla, and Ghiradelli chocolate (nice) flavors, plus mochi and cookie dough toppings....LESS than $4. $0.30 per ounce, including UNLIMITED toppings...could this be the one to dethrone Pinkberry?

Do you want just a taste of yogurt or do you want to be busting at the seams?  I love that I get to choose my flavor of yogurt, I can combine as many as I want, and I get to choose the quantity.  Think back to college dorm days and self-serving froyo at the cafeteria.

I happen to like the natural flavored yogurt.  You know what I'm talking about, the Pinkberry-esque flavor.  Well Yogurtland has got it and it's tastier than Pinkberry, more zesty.  My husband is anti-zesty and pro sugary sweet.  Yogurtland gives us both the natural zesty flavored yogurt as well as the typical ho-hum flavors.  We can enjoy a cool treat at the same location.

The toppings are FREE. The price is cheap.  The froyo is creamy.

This place is better than Pinkberry. Take nothing away from Pinkberry, but with over 15 flavor choices and 30 toppings choices, PLUS you serve yourself and it's cheaper than Pinkberry, you can't go wrong. The tart flavors are amazing...the other flavors are good too. They definitely capitalized on what's hot. At 30 cents as ounce, try it

The smallest serving cup is still a large serving size and it's obvious that the majority of patrons here fell into the perception trap of completely filling it up the brim. When you're selling self serve yogurt, convincing customers to buy more is good! At 30 cents an ounce, the price alone is sweet temptation. And that's about where it stops.

This spacious store on Sunset houses a slew of froyo machines in a variety of flavors from tart to cheesecake. After asking for sample cups, we were able to try a few like strawberry, cookies and cream, and green tea. There was nothing spectacular about the flavor and more than one selection was overly icey especially the watered down green tea.

After settling on some small swirls on the bottom of our lonely cups, we headed over to the toppings bar. The toppings are standard and expected when it comes to trendy frozen yogurt spots. The dry bar included granola, mochi, lucky charms, and white chocolate chips among others. The scavenged cold bar was almost empty and contained popular items such as strawberries, mango, kiwi, blueberries, chunky red bean paste, cheesecake, and cookie dough pellets.

The menu also contains options for smoothies or shaved ice, although looking at the customers inside, everyone had the smaller yogurt cups.

The yogurt tasted like the same artificial nonfat yogurt that I've found everywhere and doesn't promote anything healthy about it in the store. The website says it's nonfat. The yogurt cup itself has writing on it about how yogurt is healthy to eat due to probiotics, yet there's nothing posted on their site or store to indicate if Yogurtland is actually selling probiotic frozen yogurt or what the ingredients are.

The store layout is open and airy decorated as so many yogurt stores before it. There's nothing unique or fabulous about this particular chain with generic feel and average quality.

Actually, we found Yogurtland in our hunt for Pinkberry. Super cute decor and great business concept of make-your-own-fro-yo with "natural" or "tangy" or the slightly sour taste of fro yo that was made so popular by Pinkberry.

After mixing like 6 flavors, some good and some bad, in my cup, it came out to under $4. Good deal for the fro yo compared to Pinkberry, especially since I could add as many blueberries or fruits or toppings. However, the blueberries at Yogurtland are not as high quality as the ones at Pinkberry. I swear, Pinkberry buys the BEST fruits. Anyway, good deal tho and great for people who enjoy CHOICE!

First time to come here and so happy to find this spot! so many flavors to choose. I love kahlua and mango. Also, the toppings and sauces, mochi! OHHHHHH..heaven for frozen yogurt mania! And only $0.30/ounces! I got this huge portion just for $4.50! This yogurt is sweeter than Pinkberry and CeFiore so dunno as if it's good for our diet ;D but the whole customer experience is good. Great business concept!

I love Yogurtland and was so happy to see that there was one right on Sunset in Hollywood. I always like to get as many flavors as possible, and the price always comes out lower than I expect it to be.

The fruit selection here was much better than what I've seen in the Fullerton branch, and I even added some mochi pieces, which I never do, because they looked really soft and yummy this time.

This store, being new, has a nice clean look to it, though I'm not sure ripping off Pinkberry's motif is the way to go. I think Yogurtland has more and better things to offer than Pinkberry, and would choose it over the latter anyday. Now if only there was one in Westwood!
